Set to launch in Spring 2026, I'm developing a series of artistic activations in partnership with local animal rescue organizations. Drawing inspiration from Judy Chicago's 1974 The Dinner Party, this project will center the stories of adopted pets and the lives they have touched. The Dinner Pawrty will transform galleries and in-shelter event spaces into whimsical spaces that invite audiences in to learn about the hardships faced by animals both locally and worldwide, as well as the immense positive effects pet ownership can have on one's mental and physical health. Through this project, I will highlight the global animal welfare crisis and generate funding for the animal rescue organizations partnered with this project. This project will also host ongoing free, public pet ownership workshops for anyone interested in learning more about ways in which they can continue to improve their pets' lives.
I am collecting pet adoption stories to include in this project. Do you have a rescue pet you'd like to be featured in this project? Please fill out this form to share your rescue pet's story!
